Mr. Hazard is currently a consultant and the Executive Vice President at Global Strategic Analysis, a California based Corporation. His responsibilities include Strategic Planning and operational oversight for outreach/partnering efforts, business process review and developing innovative approaches to leveraging Education/Research resources for integration across a diverse, US and international customer base.
As the former Deputy Vice Provost for Special Initiatives at the US Naval Postgraduate School (NPS) and first Program Director for the United States Partnership for Peace Education and Training Center, in Monterey California, Mr. Hazard brings a broad range of talent to assisting customers in overcoming global organizational and business management challenges. Over a 40 year career in both the US Military and Federal government, he has focused on offering unique, relevant Research and Education opportunities to communities of US Department of Defense, US State Department and International partners who seek an informed leadership that understands how to meet their multi-faceted challenges and can develop and implement cost effective strategies for the mitigation of the negative impacts of globalization on world-wide security and stability.
A native of California, Mr. Hazard attended both California State University, Fullerton, in 1974 where he received a BA in Business Management and the University of Southern California in 1976 where he received an MS in Systems Management, prior to joining the United States Marine Corps. His Civilian Awards include the Joint Chiefs Meritorious Civilian Medal, the Navy Meritorious Civilian Medal and two Navy Superior Civilian Service Medals.
