The Global Network for Strategic Research and Action
We help to pose better questions. In this age of connected volatility and disruption, the accelerating pace of disruptions in this century and the amount of change we have to absorb not only on the downside, but on the upside, with new technologies and new forms of innovation and connectivity that come at us and surprise us – We Need New Thinking!
The Global Resilience Consortium has one compelling advantage over all other competitors. It is uniquely organized to help partners around the globe to develop an innovative systems approach to enhanced collaboration that can help cultivate and sustain more effective security partnerships.
LEADS works with each partner in a consistent manner, namely to identify together key challenges and collectively owned opportunities that a global network of people, ideas, and processes must confront to enable smart decision making everywhere by tomorrow’s agile, resilient, and effective leaders.
Drawing inspiration from global futurist, Andrew Zolli, the Global Resilience Consortium helps us to encourage peoples and systems, communities and organizations, families and individuals to persist, recover or thrive amid disruption. The connectivity between systems and kinds of change we face don’t fit into our normal planning horizons--so we’re constantly surprised.
LEADS promotes systems that can self-reorganize, that are better at sensing emerging disruption. We promote systems that encourage cooperation, rather than division. We promote systems that, when a failure happens in one component of the system, it doesn't bring down every other component of the system.
LEADS helps to reimagine the built environment but we need to do it in a way that recognizes it as part of a greater system that includes human relationships. We help to inculcate the skills to sense emerging risk, listen for change, and build regenerative capacity through enhanced creativity to promote as Zolli suggests, “a design brief for the 21st century.”
